Skiving Knife No. 469 by C.S. Osborne for skiving leather. It features a razor sharp forged steel blade made from high-quality hot-forged carbon steel, angled and beveled blade for the perfect skiving action, and a hardwood handle. This knife fits well in your hand and makes precise cuts every time.
The knife blade measures 4.25 inches (11 cm) long and 3.3 cm wide. The smooth hardwood handle measures 11.5 cm long and 2.3 cm wide (at the widest point).
A skiving knife is an essential leathercraft tool used to thin down, taper, or bevel leather edges, reducing bulk at seams and folds for a professional finish. It is used for edge pairing, creating feathered seams, folding edges, and tapering leather for buckle turns.
