Fiebing's Pro Resist is a water-based, liquid leather protector designed to prevent dyes, stains, and antique finishes from adhering to the surface of leather. Primarily used on tanned leather after tooling, it highlights carved designs by keeping the high points light and allowing colours to settle in the cuts.
Apply Fiebing's Pro Resist to clean, dry, vegetable-tanned leather using a slightly damp sponge, moving in circular and back-and-forth motions to ensure full coverage. Apply one liberal coat, ensuring it fills all tool impressions to prevent dark spots, and allow it to dry completely—ideally overnight—before applying antiques or dyes.
