Large All Purpose Leather Knife No 67-2 by C.S. Osborne for cutting, trimming and skiving leather. It features a hand sharpened forged steel blade made from high-quality hot-forged carbon steel, angled and beveled for the perfect skiving action, with a nickel plated ferrule and hardwood handle. This knife fits well in your hand and makes precise cuts every time.
The knife blade measures 4 inches (10.5 cm) long and 4.8 cm wide. The smooth hardwood handle measures 10 cm long and 3 cm wide (at the widest point).
A skiving knife is an essential leathercraft tool used to thin down, taper, or bevel leather edges, reducing bulk at seams and folds for a professional finish. It is used for edge pairing, creating feathered seams, folding edges, and tapering leather for buckle turns.
