Veg Tan Leather Pieces in Black, Badalassi Carlo

Vegetable tanned leather pieces in nero black by Badalassi Carlo tannery, available in A3, A4 or A5 rectangles. This is high quality Italian vegetable tanned leather, in smooth Minerva style with a matte finish and medium handle, at a thickness of between 1.8 to 2 mm. These are sold individually and in packs of 2 or 3.

Pieces are available in A3 (11.7 by 16.5 inches), A4 (8.3 by 11.7 inches) or A5 (5.8 by 8.3 inches). We cut generously and our pieces are usually over some!

To produce this vegetable tanned leather, each hide is treated with extracts of trunk and bark inside wood barrels, greased with a mixture of animal fats and then coloured in a drum. Rubbing the skins with a dry cloth will burnish it brighter as well as darkening the colour. Minerva can be treated with natural creams and waxes. This leather is suitable for bags, belts and other leather goods.
