Designed for professional tailoring, these shears feature the patented sidebent design, originally developed by Thomas Wilkinson in 1800 and later incorporated into Whiteley’s designs. The PTFE coating creates a smooth, non-stick surface, allowing fabric, including adhesive-treated materials like fusible webbing, fabric glue, and spray adhesives, to glide effortlessly through the blades. This reduces friction for a clean, precise cut while also protecting against corrosion.
The gold plated ‘Big Bolt’ is a striking feature and allows for quick pick-up and smooth put-down – ideal for cutting large pieces of fabric with ease. The ergonomic handles with a thumb rest provide long-lasting comfort and reduce hand fatigue during extended use.
